Election Managers in most of the country’s provinces have reported zero withdrawals in nominations as the country heads towards polling day next month.
Provinces who did not record any withdrawals include Makira Ulawa, Temotu, Central Islands and Guadalcanal.
In the Western Province, there was only one withdrawal.
The Election Manager for Western Province, Sam Tim confirmed this to SIBC News adding, a total of 52 candidates will be contesting the province’s seats in the November 19 General Elections.
SIBC News is yet to get confirmation on candidates lists Election Managers in Rennell and Bellona, Malaita, Isabel, Choiseul and Honiara.
