Provincial Assembly Member for Aola ward, Guadalcanal Province Gordon Tapalia calls on the government to fulfill its promise on road rehabilitation for Northeast Guadalcanal.
Mr Tapalia says, the 25 Kilometer road from Bokokimbo to Aola deteriorates over the past 30 years.
He says, this hinders economic activities for his people.
“This is because my areas has also contributed to the country’s economical status and we contribute a lot in terms of logging and so I am questioning where our logging taxes have never been returned to our area to offset the road rehabilitation?”
The Provincial Assembly Member adds, people are most willing to support infrastructure development initiated by the current government.
