MSG 12th Sports Officials Meeting Commenced in Port Moresby

Solomon Islands also reaffirm its commitment to the spirit of Melanesia and the need to enhance Melanesian sports through the social, economic and cultural aspects, believing, entrusting and recognizing our people with their unique diversity and potentials.

On the domestic level, Solomon Islands has the potential to elevate facilities management which in turn generate revenues and high-performance athletes that elevates sports development and standards in the country. The Ministry of home affairs continue to diversify its provincial projects as well as to ensure sporting facilities are accessible to our rural communities.

Recommendations from the issues raised by the Sports Officials will be perused and endorsed by the MSG Sports Ministers meeting on Thursday 13^th November 2025.

Papua New Guinea is the host of the 4^th Edition of the MSG Prime Ministers Cup and the Sports Officials and Sports Ministers Meetings. Fiji is the current Chair of the Officials and Ministerial Meetings.

The meeting was attended by Senior Sports Officials from MSG countries, PNG, Fiji, Vanuatu and Solomon Islands. Due to unforeseen circumstances, New Caledonia did not attend this year’s session.
