The Malaita Provincial Government will organise a National Malaita Conference on restoration and reconciliation for Malaitans and the rest of the country next month.
The conference is part of the Malaita Provincial Government’s policy.
It will include presentations on community governance, a peacebuilding perspective approach for Malaita province and apologies and reconciliation.
A statement from the Malaita Provincial Government says the scope of its policy is not only to cover issues of peace but to address the many issues hindering the development projects on Malaita.
SIBC News understands the Malaita Provincial Government has allocated $200,000 for the conference.
