The National Parliament has made plans to create another Ministry.
This will increase the number of Ministries in the country from 23 to 24.
The Bills and Legislation Committee have invited the Forum Solomon Islands International interim committee to make a submission on the proposed Prescription of Ministers (Amendment) Bill 2017.
This amendment will facilitate the creation of a Ministry to administer the Solomon Islands Tertiary Education and Skills Authority Act 2017.
Responsibility for this Act currently rests with the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development.
The FSII Interim Management Committee is expected to compile their discussions and make a submission to the BLC Wednesday next week.
