Registered Voters in Namoia polling station in East Malaita are yet to receive their registered voters list.
An Enoch Idui from East Malaita told SIBC News today the Provisional Voters List was supposed to reach the polling station two weeks ago.
He says the voters are concerned- today is the end of the two week omission and objection period.
“They are questioning why their registration list has not appeared while it has appeared for other polling stations and the due date is today. They want to question the registration officer for the Eastern region why he has delayed the registration list that they expected should have arrived two weeks ago.”
The Solomon Islands Electoral Commission has announced- the Omission and Objection period will be extended to 11 August.
