No turning back for 2023 Pacific Games preparation: PM Houenipwela.

He said the games was a national project and it was the responsibility of every organizations and institutions in the country to make it successful.

“We see that every government ministries, every agencies, and every semi government bodies  must take part in this project,” he said.

“This project spans all sectors of the economy, this is why the government sees it as a very important project”

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Cabinet Sub Committee on the 2023 Pacific Games Honourable Steve Abana said the MOU’s signing signaled a positive step in the game’s preparation.

Honourable Abana said the next step was to sign a Memorandum of Agreement with the stakeholders to secure land for the various venues for the games.

“As of tomorrow and the next two weeks, we will focus on the Memorandum of Agreement , which is to bind individual stakeholders and the government on the securing land,” he said.

“It is not a easy task, it is something that we have to sit down and get understanding from each other.”
