A normal rainfall is forecasted for most parts of Solomon Islands for the September- November period.
This is according to the Solomon Islands Climate Outlook and Drought Advice issued by the Solomon Islands Meteorological Services.
MET Service says the predicted weather is associated with the current condition of the southern oscillation index that has an influence on the country’s rainfall condition.
Explaining the rainfall forecast is the Deputy Director of Meteorology Mr Lloyd Tahani.
“It just describes the normal rainfall we will receive lies between above normal rainfall and below normal rainfall, so different parts of the country have different boundaries and different levels of the amount of rainfall but most of them are forecasted to receive rainfall between above and below which is the normal rainfall.”
