A new telecommunication site—Lavangu(B183) under the Solomon Islands National Broadband Infrastructure Project (SINBIP) has been successfully commissioned and brought on air in Rennell Province, further advancing the nationwide rollout of broadband infrastructure.
With the activation of this site, SINBIP has now achieved a cumulative total of 80 operational sites across Solomon Islands.
This site is currently the only SINBIP site in the region, located approximately 200 kilometers from both Guadalcanal and Makira, and serves as a critical node in extending communication coverage to remote and previously underserved areas.
