Leader of Opposition, Dr Derek Sikua says he disagrees with the Government decision to make an out-of-court settlement with former Attorney General Julian Moti.
In a statement this afternoon, Dr Sikua also says he has written to the Prime Minister, requesting him to explain why the Government has taken this course.
The Opposition Leader however said he will not discuss the matter in the media, until the Prime Minister responds to his letter.
He said it is appropriate that the Prime Minister is accorded the opportunity to receive and respond to his letter, before he can discuss this issue in the media.
Dr Sikua says he is hoping to receive a response from the Prime Minister by the end of this week.
He adds he totally disagrees with the decision the Government has taken.
