OUR Party champions youth empowerment through support for U-18 national beach volleyball team

In a resounding show of commitment to youth empowerment and sports development, the Ownership, Unity and Responsibility (OUR) Party has proudly extended vital support to the Solomon Islands Under-18 National Beach Volleyball Team-both male and female as they prepare to represent the nation in the prestigious 2025 Oceania Championship, featuring fifteen participating countries.

Demonstrating strong leadership and responsiveness, OUR Party swiftly answered the team’s call for assistance, providing essential sporting gear to support their performance and preparation.

The donation package includes premium sunglasses, performance footwear, branded sportswear, sun protection lotions, sports towels, and key stationeries-ensuring the teams are well-equipped both physically and logistically for high-level competition.

Speaking on behalf of the Party, OUR Party Treasurer Mr. Hollingsworth Avui reaffirmed that youth and sports development remain central pillars of the Party’s national agenda.

Since OUR Party assumed key leadership roles in 2019, we have consistently prioritized the growth of young people by investing in sport as a platform for discipline, opportunity, and national pride, Mr.Avui stated. This latest support for our national U-18 beach volleyball teams reflects our long-standing belief in nurturing young talent and building pathways for their success-both on and off the court.

Mr. Avui underscored that this contribution is part of a broader commitment not a one-off gesture. Youth are at the heart of our vision for a stronger Solomon Islands. Sports teach values of leadership, teamwork, and resilience. OUR Party will continue to champion initiatives that provide young people with opportunities to thrive, while also strengthening national unity and identity.
