More than $45,000.00 was raised Monday this week in aid of the proposed Malaita Provincial Assembly Chamber building project.
The money was raised during Malaita’s Second Appointed day celebration at the National Art Gallery.
The total amount raised includes pledges but not donations given in kind.
The National Malaitans Fundraising Committee said it was a blessed day for Malaitans here in Honiara where people give freely from their hearts towards the provincial initiative.
The committee says more fundraising are planned for the future including a ‘corporate dinner’ for Malaita Business people and interested organisations.
