The People’s Alliance Party (PAP) has said it plans to re-establish the country’s paramilitary police force if it wins the legitimate power to form the next government.
In a recent briefing in Honiara, the political party said the force would be fully armed to deal with any future riots and other behaviors that could threaten national security, unity and peace.
The party also said it would negotiate with Israel to provide the needed military training to members of a newly established paramilitary police force to enable it to deal with any internal and international upraising that threatens country’s national interests.
