PACIFIC PRINTERS LIMITED SELECTED GOVERNMENT PRINTER

Pacific Printers Limited has been identified as the Official Government Printer for the period 2015 to 2016.

A government statement said a new agreement was signed with the management of Pacific Printers Ltd (PPL) following Cabinet’s approval on 17th last month.

Secretary to Cabinet James Remobatu signed the agreement on behalf of the government with General Manager of Pacific Printers Nathaniel Hebala on 31st March after the Office of the Prime Minister’s Ministerial Tender Board endorsed Pacific Printers Ltd as the official government printer.

The statement said the appointment of a Government printer is in line with legal requirements that Government documents including Acts of Parliament are to be printed by a Government Printer, hence the engagement of Pacific Printers.

PPL’s appointment came after the Prime Minister’s office had advertised for the engagement of a Government Printer.

Currently the Government does not have a printer of its own to carry out the role of a Government Printer.

The public is informed and advised that anyone wishing to obtain an authentic copies of Acts of Parliament, subsidiary legislation and government documents should contact and make their request to the Secretary to Cabinet to access those documents from the Government Printer.
