Mr Ziru also said the Commission is holding a workshop with party executives next week.

“You would agree that the Act in itself introduces a very new scheme and that the scheme in itself is being explored on a day-to-day basis by the Commission as well as the political parties. Next week we are planning and possibly with the Electoral Commission, a workshop with the executives whereby we will go through all provisions or requirements under the Act in terms of financial returns and other compliance that parties need to adhere to, but parties are already entering into discussions around forming government and that’s a very interesting sort of development that we are able to observe.”
