A person who came into contact with the transferred items at the Pacific Casino quarantine center has been tested for COVID-19 and put under a 14-day quarantine.
The Camp Management, and the Oversight Committee on COVID19 confirmed.
“The National Health Emergency Operations Committee has already taken swabs from the person.”
Meanwhile, the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force’s National Criminal Investigation Department confirms, investigating the alleged breach of quarantine protocols.
Supervising Assistant Commissioner for Crime and Intelligence Chief Superintendent John Rove confirmed.
It was reported that a vehicle entered the Pacific Casino Hotel premises hours after the arrival of repatriated passengers from China last week to received a parcel that passed through the window.
Superintendent Rove says the alleged incident was reported to the police by the COVID-19 Camp Management team after employees of the hotel alerted them about the incident.
Police Media today confirms no arrest has been made so far in relation to the incident.
