Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo has concluded a three days visit to his Gizo-Kolombangara constituency last Friday.
A Government Communication Unit statement says the Prime Minister wanted to see his people, and how they were coping with opportunities and challenges they faced in 2013.
In his visits, Prime Minister Lilo told constituents, 2013 was a very challenging year as a MP and as Prime Minister of Solomon Islands.
Mr Lilo also said the constituency faced a lot of developmental challenges during the year, and encourages his people to work together with him to address those challenges in a fair manner.
In schools he visited, Prime Minister Lilo pledged more support for this year and thanked teachers and school leaders for their ongoing commitment and hard work towards the educational welfare of the children of the constituency.
Some of the villages the Prime Minister visited included Titiana and Ghari villages, on Gizo Island.
Schools he had visited included Kukudu Adventist College and Vanga Village, on Kolombangara Island.
Prime Minister Lilo was accompanied by his wife, Madam Bronwyn Lilo, his officials and a team from the Royal Solomon Islands Police Band.
