Prime Minister Hon. Jeremiah Manele congratulates the Solomon Islands Kurukuru following their commanding 7–0 victory over Tuvalu in the OFC Futsal Men’s Cup 2025 final at Vodafone Arena in Suva, Fiji.
From New York, Prime Minister Manele praised the team, saying: “On behalf of the Government of National Unity (GNUT), I congratulate our Kurukuru for this remarkable achievement. Winning this year’s championship marks the seventh time Solomon Islands have been crowned OFC Futsal Men’s Cup champions.”
The Prime Minister also acknowledged the Tuvalu team, who returned to the competition after 14 years, saying, “We congratulate Tuvalu for their impressive effort and sportsmanship, which should be an inspiration to their island nation and other pacific island nations .”
