The Provincial Police Commanders conference concludes today at the RAMSI GBR base, East Honiara.
The conference has brought together all Provincial Police Commanders including those in Honiara and Guadalcanal to discuss policing issues in the country.
Confirming the conference conclusion at her weekly media conference, Deputy Police Commissioner Juanita Matanga says they have gathered to discuss national policing issues.
“This week we are running the Provincial Police Commanders conference and it will conclude tomorrow and I would like to acknowledge the participants in this program because we only have it once a year to discuss issues affecting policing. At the same time we are also discussing strategies to improve they way we do our policing and then continue to find solutions to outstanding issues that continues to confront policing.”
SIBC News understands, the annual Provincial Police Commander’s conference was organised with the support of the RAMSI’s Participating Police Force (PPF).
