Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) at the National Traffic Department (NTD) are investigating a fatal accident involving the death of a young man at the western end of Lunga Bridge yesterday afternoon (13 April 2026).
Director NTD Superintendent William Foufaka said the accident happened when the dump truck was traveling in a westerly direction at the Lunga bridge and hit the young man.
Superintendent Foufaka said the deceased after the accident was rushed to the National Referral Hospital (NRH), but upon arrival, he was pronounced dead by the medical authority.
