The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) has said the recruitment of new police officers were done in a fair and accountable process.
RSIPF was responding to complaints relating to a selection of family members and relatives of high-rank police officers into the new police recruitment.
Speaking during her weekly media conference, Deputy Police Commissioner Juanita Matanga said all recruitmentprocesses were done in a fair and accountable manner.
“In terms of such recruitment we encourage fairness and all that’s involved has to be accountable including the decisions made. That’s the basis of our comment on such allegations. We discourage that sort of discrimination and unfair treatment of our people.”
The Deputy Police Commissioner encouraged the public to seek quires from the RSIPF Director of Learning and Development Unit on recruitment complaints.
