Preparations for the Eight Premier’s Conference is progressing well.
The Premier’s conference is scheduled to be held on 1st of October and will be co-hosted by the Guadalcanal Province and the Honiara City Council.
The Conference will be held at various venues to be decided by the two local Governments.
The Central Coordinating Committee (CCC) and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) recently visited a proposed site for the opening of the Premiers Conference at Ginger Beach, Northwest Guadalcanal.
The visit was to check on the venue preparation and get first-hand information on its progress.
The committee says more work will be carried out on the stages before the actual event.
Currently, the committee concentrates on formulating the program and assess potential areas to be addressed.
Meanwhile, the Local Organising Committee says an operation office to see through various stages of the preparatory work will be set up at the HCC headquarter.
Progressive updates will be made public once the office is established.
The last Premier’s Conference was hosted by the Western Provincial Government.
