Preparations for the Sixteen Days of Activism campaign against gender-based violence is progressing well.
According to Vois Blo Mere program on the National Broadcaster, the event will begin on the 25th of this month to December 10th.
Themed “Iumi stand tugeda fo endim vaelens” the goal of this year’s campaign is to raise awareness about the Family Protection Act and how it deals with domestic violence.
Meanwhile, International Children’s day is scheduled for the 24th of November, a day before the gender-based violence campaign begins.
Youth, Women and Sports division from the Honiara City Council division is coordinating the event.
It will include a parade and other fun activities for children.
