Having and using proper sanitation is one of the most important factors of good health.
Ambassador of the Republic of China (ROC) on Taiwan His Excellency Te-sun Yu made the statement during the launch of Funaafou and Niuleni sanitation project.
But he iterates, good sanitation is not only about having access to proper sanitation facilities but also having good sanitation habits.
He explains this centres on taking ownership of the facilities and putting them into proper use.
Prime Minister Sogavare during the occasion said 82 percent of Solomon Islanders still use unhygienic sanitation methods whilst 35 percent of the country’s population do not have access to good running water.
