Provincial Police Commanders from around the country will be gathering in Honiara next week for their annual conference.
The Annual Provincial Police Commanders Conference will begin on Monday next week.
Police Commissioner Frank Prendergast told his weekly media conference today, the conference will look at how Provincial Police Commanders can prepare to deliver government policy priorities.
The Police Commissioner said the discussions will ensure Police Commanders are prepared to maintain the security role of Solomon Islands when RAMSI leaves the country.
“Importantly, how we prepare ourselves to deliver the Government policy priorities but also how we ensure that we’re ready for the next phase after RAMSI draws down in 2017.”
