Provincial Assembly Speaker for Rennell and Bellona Province Dictor Maitaki describes the provincial budget as lacking “credibility and illegal”.
Mr. Maitaki pointed out that the recently passed $5.1 million budget by-passed the Provincial Development Committee and the Provincial Accounts Committee.
“The truth of the matter was that the budget did not go through the provincial development committee neither through the provincial public accounts committee. Therefore, it lacks credibility and was illegal, that’s the truth.”
