A retired police officer has called on the National Government to rearm police officers stationed at Shortland Islands.
Retired police officer Ignatius Gorae told an SIBC touring group in Shortland Islands – police posted along the western border ‘MUST’ rearm to heighten the country’s security there.
“The RSIPF should and must rearm to man the border. We do not count on manpower but we count on arms because those people on the other side of the border have arms, so we want those stationed here to be armed to man the border security.”
