“Building a public memorial in Honiara to mark the untimely death and suffering of the victims during the past conflict will be a good way to remind us of our past mistakes and not to repeat them.”
Governor General Sir Frank Ofagioro Kabui made the suggestion in his new year’s message.
Sir Kabui said such memorial is not to honour their death and suffering but to mark their memory and a reminder for us.
He said, our mindset plays an important role in translating our thoughts into action.
He adds, right thinking leads to right living.
“Our mindset plays a role in translating our thoughts into action. We have to develop the ability to think right, right thinking leads to right living. In other words, we have to think right in order to live right.”
