The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were greeted by hundreds of screaming fans at the Sydney Opera House after touching down for their 10-day tour of Australia.
Prince William and Kate touched down in Sydney with their son Prince George for their first official tour of Australia.
They were treated to a small reception on the tarmac before being whisked away to the Opera House for an official reception and meet-and-greet.
Prince William told the official function at the Opera House that he and Kate were looking forward to their first trip to Australia together.
The Prince commended the nation for the way it has dealt with Cyclone Ita.
Australia Network news reports, Prince William praised Australia’s important role regionally including its “great generosity” towards Solomon Islands after the nation’s recent floods and earthquakes.
