The Solomon Islands National Council of Women (SINCW) has called on the female who left her foetus baby at the Burns Creek area to seek assistance.
In a statement yesterday, the Secretariat said this was an act of a desperate mother who did not know what to do, or was uncertain of the reaction by her family or relatives if they discovered she was pregnant.
The National Council of Women said such a desperate act is not an isolated one, and similar acts have been committed by women in the past and up till now.
