The South Pacific Business Development microfinance network in Honiara has proved to be a success with more than 3000 members in and outside Honiara.
Compliance officer Donnie Timo confirmed to SIBC news that since its establishment in 2013, more than 3000 women have become members under the microfinance project.
Mr Timo says the microfinance project has covered all communities within Honiara and it’s expanding to those within East and West Guadalcanal.
He says the project maintains its vision to ensure the women who access their services, receive benefits.
“Our Vision is we want to see the women improve in their quality of living. And that is we want to seem them improve their living conditions and they help out to meet the basic needs of their family and also to see them support their children in terms of education, to pay their school fees.”
