SINCW SAYS RECENT CROCODILE ATTACK IS WAKE-UP CALL

The crocodile attack was the sixth of its kind to happen in the same area.

According the newspaper report, Bokokimbo River is the water source for Siara Village, along with Antioch and Samaria in North East Guadalcanal.

In a statement, the National Council of Women says it is very concerned for the safety of women and children who live in such dangerous areas.

The Council says the police or RAMSI is not the answer to this problem.

It adds, this is a wake-up call for North East Guadalcanal leaders and other national leaders, to deliver basic necessities such as water supply, sanitation and clinic to their constituency or ward.
