The Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs will design the refurbishment of six provincial courthouses this year.
Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs Ishmael Avui confirms the refurbishments during the Committee of Supply deliberations on the 2015 National Budget in Parliament on Monday.
Minister Avui said the Ministry will design and put to tender the refurbishment of six provincial courthouses.
“We will design the refurbishment of the court buildings. There are six of them and one is definitely for Afio, so we will design and tender them out.”
SIBC News understands a total of $3 million has been allocated to the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs in this year’s budget.
