Solomon Islands on display at Treasures of the South Pacific Roadshow

More than 800 consultants registered interest in attending this year’s ToSP events taking place in regional and capital cities in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

The high numbers are a clear signal of the significant business potential the South Pacific region represents to the Australian travel industry.

Established as a regional trade platform in 2017, ToSP is a coalition of national tourism offices that collaborate to promote travel and educate the Australian tourism industry about South Pacific destinations.

The Solomon Islands is a core member of the organisation joining Fiji, the Cook Islands, Samoa, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Tahiti, Niue, Norfolk Island, and Palau.

The organisation also assists those more remote island nations lacking Australian representation as part of a ‘Hidden Treasures’ initiative.

Members include Kiribati, Nauru, Tuvalu, the Marshall Islands, and the Federated States of Micronesia.

ToSP is heavily backed by major sponsor Fiji Airways, alongside regional bodies including Pacific Trade Invest Australia and the Pacific Tourism Organisation.
