Solomon Islands has submitted its application for membership to the INTERPOL during a visit to Singapore last week.
A government statement said the Minister of Police, National Security and Correctional Services Hon. Peter Shanel Agovaka submitted the application during a visit to the INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation.
Mr Agovaka said the application to join INTERPOL was another visible sign of the DCC Government’s commitment to working with its international and regional partners to prevent the threat of terrorism and transnational crime and ensure a safe, secure and peaceful Solomon Islands.
