SOLOMON WATER CONTINUES INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT WORK

CEO Piantedosi informed the Prime Minister that despite these hurdles, Solomon Water, continue to rollout the improvement and refurbishment of its infrastructures.

The CEO also revealed to PM Manele that currently Solomon Water is trying to find a water source for Gizo town in Western Province, and that in the event that there is no water source SW will resort to recycling of water.

CEO Piantedosi further informed the Prime Minister that the work on the water treatment plant for Kogulai is on- going as well. A number of reservoirs have been built and near completion for purpose of storage of water.

The CEO admitted that provision of water has become a challenge as more people demand more water.

CEO Piantedosi also informed PM Manele on the piping work at Ranadi of East Honiara, and that the work is due to complete soon.

Prime Minister Manele thanked Solomon Water for continuing to provide the important service of supplying and providing water nation- wide.

The Prime Minister pointed out that Solomon Water need to work with landowners and especially the Ziata water landowners to sort out any issues amongst them.

PM Manele looked forward to the upgrading of the Noro town water source as the town hosts the important Tuna industry.
