SolRice has announced another price reduction on its Solrais brand.
This will see the price of a 10-kilogram bag of Solrais going well below $100 if the price reduction makes it through the supply chain.
SolRice General Manager, Nick Ellis says the expected reduction in tariffs from the Solomon Islands Ports Authority meant that SolRice can apply the savings to continue reducing the price for their loyal consumers.
Mr. Ellis adds, this is the third price reduction within a month and a half.
Meanwhile, a media statement from the rice distributor says the Ministry of Commerce’s Price Control Unit is keen to see programs that benefit consumers and will allow time to see if retailers pass on this latest price reduction.
