A cruise boat carrying 2,000 passengers will arrive early tomorrow morning in Honiara.
Marketing Manager of the Solomon Islands Visitor’s Bureau Freda Unusi says the boat “Sun Princess”, will spend the whole day tomorrow berthing outside Honiara.
Mrs Unusi says tourists on board will be coming ashore to visit parts of the city and see some of the attraction sites and war relics on guided tours.
“Tour operators will sell at the wharf. They will sell the tours, cultural tours, city tours, battlefield tours. If they want to dive, they will go see Dive Tulagi. Those are the arrangements tomorrow.”
Meanwhile, the Permanent Secretary for Culture and Tourism is appealing to members of the public to always respect any tourist visiting Solomon Islands.
John Wasi made the call ahead of the arrival of cruise vessel Sun Princess who visits Solomon Islands tomorrow.
Mr Wasi says it is important the public treat visiting friends with respect, which will provide them with a memorable experience to treasure when leaving Solomon Islands.
He adds this for sure will attract more cruise ships to visit the country in the future.
The Sun Princess will anchor off Point Cruz Wharf at 7am tomorrow morning and is scheduled to leave evening tomorrow.
