The Solomon Islands High Commission Office in Suva, Fiji has expressed gratitude for the support the Office recently received from Fiji-based organisations and individuals, and the Solomon Islands community in Suva in response to a flood appeal launched in Suva last month.
In a statement, High Commissioner Patterson Oti said the assistance rendered was much needed support to help the people affected to start over and to support the rehabilitation process that the government is currently undertaking.
Donated items collected during the appeal have already been packed and shipped to Honiara for onward distribution to victims by the Solomon Islands Red Cross.
