Taiwan president set to address parliament after red carpet treatment

The Taiwan President also visited the Office of the Prime Minister and Cabinet where she had a brief audience with the Prime Minister and designated officials.

Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare and President Tsai also addressed members of the Cabinet and 24 members of the ROC Taiwan delegation at the Caucus.

The Foreign Ministers of both countries are set to sign a Security Memorandum of Understanding and photo session at the Caucus Room before President Tsai will be escorted to the National Parliament where she addressed the National Parliament just before lunch.

Tsai’s delegation includes Presidential Office Secretary-General Joseph Wu, Minister of Foreign Affairs David Lees, Council of Indigenous Peoples Minister Icyang Parod, and various legislators.
