Premier of Malaita Province Peter Ramohia said the tar sealing for Auki roads will begin June this year.
Premier Ramohia told SIBC News, tar sealing for all Auki roads is among infrastructure developments prioritised under his government policy.
He said tendering for tar sealing has been closed adding work should begin June this year.
“In terms of infrastructure I can confirm that the tendering for the tar sealing of all major roads in Auki had closed and work on the tar sealing should start by June this year.”
The Malaita Premier adds, request has been forwarded to the National government to consider tar sealing all major roads in Malaita province.
“The major Northern, Eastern and Southern roads will also be considered by the National Government as requested by my provincial government, so when all of this is done then we’ll start talking about sealing these major roads.”
