The Ministry of Infrastructure Development (MID) has confirmed the tender process to re-seal Auki town roads is currently progressing.
A statement from the Ministry says a total of seven legal companies has submitted their bids for the resealing project.
The statement was issued in response to comments made by the Malaita Masina Forum on the project.
Director of Central Project Implementation Harry Rini says the normal tender process involves an evaluation of the bids by a Technical Evaluation Committee the Unit appointed.
The Committee then prepares an evaluation report which includes the recommended bidder and submission to the Ministerial Tender Board of the Ministry of Infrastructure Development.
