Triathlon Solomon Islands monthly event will hold its big event for the year this weekend.
The National Triathlon Sprint Championships will be held at the usual Kakabona Beach venue.
A press statement from Triathlon Solomon Islands says Stanley Ofasisili will be defending his title against the winner of last month’s sprint race, young Rocky Donald and other regular competitors.
In the women’s category, Melissa Bereta, Andriana Tukuvia and Mary Maria will compete for the first time over the sprint distance and are challenging themselves to complete the race.
Men and women will compete over the same distance of 750 metre swims, 20 kilometre cycle and five kilometre run.
