The country’s national Under twenty soccer team leaves today for the Oceanic Football Confederation Under Twenty Championship in Vanuatu.
Media Officer for the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF), Joseph Boso says the team has been undergoing stringent training over the past five months shaping up for the competition.
“It should run for two weeks and the kick off will be on Saturday the 3rd September and then finals on 18th and the competition consist of group stage plus the finals and we Solomon Islands are in group B along with New Zealand, Cook Islands, and Tahiti. Group A consists of Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, and Fiji.”
