Unknown individuals in West Fataleka have demanded a substantial amount of money from the Malu’u Clinic vehicle last week.
The individuals set up barricades targeting the medical vehicle and demanded money on two occasions.
Responding to the issue, Director of Malu’u Clinic Lawrence Irobaea says he is shocked to learn of the incident.
Mr Irobaea says, medical services in the country are important and deserve the highest public respect.

“Mr Irobaea told me it is not acceptable to charge a medical vehicle is such a way because regardless of where you live in the country, medical services are vital for our families’ lives.”
