The Vice Chancellor and President of the University of the South Pacific, Professor Rajesh Chandra has send condolences to the Government and People of Solomon Islands for the tragic loss of lives during the recent floods.
A government statement said in his letter to the Minister of Education Hon. Dick Ha’amori on 10 April 2014, the Vice Chancellor expressed the University’s sincere condolence on the tragic loss of lives during the recent floods in Solomon Islands.
He said that the University has already taken action to address the situation at the main Laucala campus in Suva and the USP campus in Honiara, particularly to ensure the uncertainty of the Mokolo Building which was affected by the flood.
