Australia’s Ambassador for Gender Equality, Ms Stephanie Copus Campbell AM attended the Solomon Islands Women in Business Association 20th Anniversary breakfast.
Ambassador announced Australia’s AUD 200,000 grant (approximately SBD 1 million) provided under the Australian High Commission’s Civil Society Strengthening Program. The grant will help establish better governance, financial management, and long-term sustainability of the organisation.
Ms Copus Campbell spoke with government, civil society, and students to discuss Women, Leadership and Democracy, including progress on the Solomon Islands Temporary Special Measures campaign, and joined a panel discussion at Solomon Islands National University with MP Cathy Nori and former Education Minister Mrs Lanelle Tanangada.
