A woman has reported died after a knife injury in North Malaita on Friday.
SIBC’s Stringer in North Malaita John Andrew Kiri reports, the woman in her old age was injured from the brush knife which slipped off from her grandson’s hand.
Kiri says the young man in his twenties was brushing around his residence when sudden his brush knife slipped off his hands and injured the deceased.
“I went to verify the situation myself at Na’o village and it happened the young person was brushing when his knife slipped off and landed on her grandmother’s left knee and she died an hour later.”
Kiri says, police has attended the scene and the young man was apprehended and taken to Auki Custody.
Kiri confirmed that chiefs and family members have solved the incident.
