Participants of a week long workshop to enhance their participation in political governance are expected to share their newly acquired skills and transform those around them.
National Coordinator for Advancing Gender, Justice Program for the UN Women Office in Solomon Islands Audrey Manu told SIBC News the workshop is not only about involving in politics but also making a difference to the lives of people in communities across the country.
“We hope that after this workshop the participants would go out with the skills and knowledge they learn that will help them to try and transform their own lives and of those around them, so it’s not a matter of just getting into politics but making a difference in the lives of people in their communities as well as the nation as a whole.”
