World Vision has started distributing relief items to families affected by the severe Tropical Cyclone Pam in Temotu Province.
The World Vision Media Unit, reports, more than 1,000 people in Temotu’s remote islands of Tikopia, Anuta, and the Reef islands have been badly affected by widespread damage and destruction to homes and livelihoods.
It says about 305 family kits and 305 livelihood kits were distributed as part of World Vision’s initial relief assistance for Tikopia and Anuta over the weekend, together with food items from the National Disaster Management Office.
